How do I get rid of that metallic taste??!

Question: A few months back, the Nuclear Energy Commission was having a “Fire Sale” (no pun intended) on these metal canisters, which I thought would be ideal as a thermos for work. It had a lead casing, and only costed me $29.95 (taxes included) which was an awesome deal----I picked up a couple of them. I love my coffee hot (there is nothing quite as bad as lukewarm coffee), and the thermos/lead lined canister certainly did keep my coffee piping hot. The only problem is that it has this horrible metallic taste. At first, I thought it was just the horrid coffee around here, but I’ve let a few co-workers drink it, by covertly pouring it into their cups while distracting them, and they all made faces when they took their next sips. I had a scientist friend take samples of my coffee, and he informed me that it has tiny traces of plutonium. I was kind of relieved that it wasn’t my imagination. I’ve tried to get that horrid metallic taste out by pouring vinegar in and letting it soak overnight

You need to take 10 parts vinegar to one part mayonnaise and gargle with this mixture 5 times a day. The acid in the mixture will cause the metal in your mouth to corrode. After about 4 months all metal is gone and voila! no more metal taste. Oh yeah, and also no more metal dental work too.

I think your best bet is to properly dispose of them and get a new thermos at the store.

try eating bananas

you should get rid of the it has lead youll get sick if you keep eating what is every come out of it, you can get cheaper canisters at walmart or target

Oh Please..............get rid of it.As they say....we get what we pay for...

do you consider yourself a smart man if so ditch the cans, our kids get less exposure from lead on their toys than you are. you better go get tested. and hope all things are good.

Did the Nuclear Energy Commission sell these metal containers as food/beverage containers? I don't think a container that leeches plutonium into your coffee is food-safe. I'd recommened dropping them off at hazardous waste recycling and getting an insulated stainless steel Thermos for your coffee. I have one made by Nissan that works great. You also might want to tell your doctor that you probably have ingested some plutonium..

Nope you need to look for nuclear brew friendly recipes. A tiny pinch of salt might help, but once you start to apply concealer to your face to cover up the green, it hardly appears worth it. Ask for a refund and buy a regular thermal cup like everyone else does.
