Water help?!

Question: i know that you should drink at least 8 cups of water a day, but when you drink stuff like vitamin water, does that count as water? what about the stuff that you add like the powder to like lemonade, kool aid, coco, etc.

Yeah, it counts. Even foods with high water content count.

"Finally, strong evidence now indicates that not all of the prescribed fluid need be in the form of water. Careful peer-reviewed experiments have shown that caffeinated drinks should indeed count toward the daily fluid intake in the vast majority of persons. To a lesser extent, the same probably can be said for dilute alcoholic beverages, such as beer, if taken in moderation."

I think its more considered a pop of some kind, because they probably have aspartame or some other chemicals in it. I'd just stick to good old regular water

Yes, it all counts. I have read recently that drinks with caffeine (which can cause some dehydration) also count, because in the balance the fluid comes in at more than the dehydration effects. Any liquid counts, including milk.

it has to balance out in terms of water intake

Vitamin water could could count. Not Kool-Aid, coco, or any of that stuff. The little packets of crystal light , that you add to you water that only have 0-5 cal are good.

yes buddy
it all counts but not to that extent
