Has anyone ever tried adding sugar to coffee grounds then brewing it?!

Question: Sound like a good idea? I figure the sugar probably carmelizes as it melts.

Yes.

Though, the water would dissolve the sugar and not carmelize it.

If you wanted a carmalized flavor, you could try using a brown sugar instead.

Spices are also fun to add to coffee grounds.

Around the holidays in particular, I like to add cinnamon and allspice. You can also experiement with different extracts such as vanilla or almond.

In truth though, I don't add sugar to coffee the grounds anymore because it was a lot easier to just add it afterward.

But, it's always fun to experiment.

Happy java to you!

yes, i have, it just makes the coffee a little sweeter.
