Answers: Is decaf just as dehydrating as normal tea??

Yes Certainly. The only difference is the caffeine which is not really good for you. Green tea would be even better for detoxification of trash in our body!!!!

If I was drinking that much I would definitely change.

Please don't, tea is quite good for your health, drinking 10 cups of tea will lower you chances of a heart attack by 75% or more. Btw, in Asia tea is drunk to quench your thirst in the heat, it doesn't dehydrate!

yes but i would cut down own the tea they give you kindy stones

I once read that the process of taking out caffeine makes the drink even more unhealthy in another way. Maybe you could reduce the amount slowly over time or at least, drink some water before the cup of tea to prevent dehydration. You could also try a healthy alternative like redbush tea.

That level of caffeine consumption is unhealthy for you. Be sure that you slowly taper down your daily caffeine dosage. Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor as well as a diuretic, and if you suddenly stop taking it, you'll have a nasty rebound effect; you can expect pretty bad headaches. Try knocking your tea consumption down to nine cups a day for a week or so, and drink plenty of water. Then bring it down to eight cups in the next week. It probably wouldn't hurt to keep some aspirin on hand, in case mild headaches result, but this is a good way to minimize their impact.
Nothing wrong with a fine cup of tea, but perhaps you might consider non-cafffeinated varieties, such as chamomile or mint, to replace your usual caffeinated choice. Again, taper it down--don't quit it outright!

yes, most people dont know, but black tea has more caffeine than a cup of coffee. If you need a pick up, try only having one cup of regular tea and the rest decaf. If your tea is leaving you with a dry feeling in your mouth, try boiling the water a little longer. If the water isnt hot enough when you put in the tea bag, it will leave your mouth with a cottony feeling. Also, try a better brand of tea. I personally like PG tips. Its not as drying. For health reasons though, id drink more decaf and less regular.
Hope this helped :)

I looked at several sites about caffeine and this one has good information in a compact and easy to read format. http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/ca...
You will benefit from drinking decaf or herbal tea and be more hydrated. However, you may want to cut down, cup by cup, to lessen the symptoms of caffeine withdrawal. There are many great herbal teas out there to explore. Personally, I like Licorice Spice. It's more like a sweet drink than a tea and it contains no caffeine.

yes, then no for the 2 questions
