Distilled? tap? or bottled?!

Question: Which water is the safest to use for drinking and cooking? What is the shelf life for bottled or distilled water?

The best water for you to drink is actually tap water...because it has minerals and flourides in it. Bottle water has nothing and people who drink bottled water tend to have more cavities and problems with their teeth. However, for cooking I recommend distilled water because it has had all of the minerals boiled off. I'm not a fan of bottled because of 1) the chemicals in the plastic of the bottles and 2) the source of the water...since when did "spring" "deer" and "glacier" become good things to drink?

bottled

bottled water is better

safest................distilled

Tap.

Of course, MY tap water comes from our private well. Beats any bottled or distilled water around!

I am not an expert but I have read that tap water is most healthy because we do need many of the minerals in the water. I have also read the plastic bottles can cause health problems so under that assumption that water may not be as healthy do to the "cleansing factor." and the bottling. I am not sure about distilled water. I do not know anything about that.

Bottled it tasted the best

Distilled water is not for drinking or cooking.

We don't drink tap water in our area. The tap water is known to cause high blood pressure in some people and miscarriages in some women. We have calcium and other minerals in the tap water.

Coffee and tea taste awful when using our tap water.

My family drinks bottled spring water. We buy it in 2-1/2 gal containers that fit into the fridge.
