Perrier, sometime in the early 80's. I thought it would never catch on. Boy i was wrong.
Depends on what you mean by bottled water; I mean if you think about it any time water is put into any type of container you are actually bottling it up. It doesn't have to be a plastic or glass container. Back in the day they use to use animal bladders to carry water. Though it may not look like your neighborhood stores containers but if your on a trip and you get thirsty it does the job!
