I need some advice regarding coffee, lattes, etc. Please read the detail below?!

Question: I am thinking of starting to drink coffee as a morning pick me up and was looking for advice as to the best drink to start off with since I never really liked the taste of coffee. I know I've heard McD's has pretty good coffee, but I'm looking for what type to get, Caramel Latte sounded good, but I really don't know. I'm looking for good caffeine content as well. Any advice?

A Caramel Latte is good. It's fairly sweet which makes it harder to taste the coffee, but you still will get a coffee taste.

Lattes do contain caffeine, and how much depends on how many shots of espresso they put in your latte.
Generally, a shot of espresso has slightly less caffeine than a 12 oz cup of coffee.

If you want to go all out and get regular coffee, just doctor it up with sugar and cream. If you put enough in, it is very hard to taste the coffee and you will still get quite a caffeine buzz(especially since you arn't used to coffee).
I'm not a fan at all of flavored coffees(as I actually like my coffee to taste like coffee), but you might want to try some.

best of luck!

well if you can go to starbucks or CC's...they are REALLY good and have a wide variety......french vanilla is a good start....i get a frapichino(cold coffee) i usually get the caramel

This is all dependent on what you're looking for.

Since you don't like the taste of coffee, I suggest getting something that is a little sweeter. Try a hazelnut or french vanilla flavored coffe. Caramel lattes are really good too--they are usually made with espresso with steamed milk and caramel flavoring. This will give you the caffeine but without the traditional bitter taste of coffee. You can also head over to Starbucks and try a white chocolate mocha, which taste like a cross between hot chocolate and coffee and is a great drink for those who aren't too into coffee.

Don't start drinking it at all!! It could become a habit you regret. There are lots of herb teas which provide a boost in other ways than coffee, which just dumps caffeine into your system. Yerba Mate, peppermint, and citrus teas are good, early morning boosters, and these also have beneficial bioflavanoids, tannins and vitamins to offer.
