I just use plain sugar.
I do that sometimes when stricken by guilt for consuming too much sugar. So I cut down by half of the calories by adding the sugar substitute. I learn to enjoy it because it frees my conscience a little.

Brown sugar has a slightly lower caloric value by weight than white sugar due to the presence of water. ^_^
ummm i like sugar better because although they say that splenda is better it hurt you in the longrun it just isnt good for you.
