What's the difference between cappuciono (sp), expresso, latte, mocha, etc.? Thank you for yor help.?!
Cappuccino: An Italian coffee-based drink prepared with espresso, hot milk, and milk foam. A cappuccino differs from a caffè latte in that it is prepared with much less steamed or textured milk than the caffè latte with the total of espresso and milk/foam making up between approximately five and six ounces (148-177 ml).
Latte: A type of coffee drink made with hot milk.
Mocha: A mocha is a variant of a cafe latte. Like a latte it is typically one third espresso and two thirds steamed milk, but a portion of chocolate is added, typically in the form of a Chocolate syrup, although other vending systems use instant chocolate powder.
Americano: A style of coffee prepared by adding hot water to espresso, giving a similar strength but different flavor than regular drip coffee (the strength of any americano can be varied by increasing the number of shots of espresso added).
Macchiato: An Italian beverage, is espresso with a small amount of hot, foamed milk. Traditionally it is made with one shot of espresso, and the small amount of added milk was the "stain." However, later the "mark" or "stain" came to refer to the foamed milk that was put on top to indicate the beverage has a little milk in it.
Answers: Espresso: A concentrated coffee beverage brewed by forcing very hot, but not boiling water under high pressure through coffee that has been ground to a consistency between extremely fine and powder.

Expresso is a shot of strong coffee
Cappucino is a shot of expresso with steamed milk
mocha is chocolate
Mocha: coffee with milk and chocolate
Latte: Espresso with milk
Espresso: Shot of strong coffee
cappuccino is espresso with 1 part milk and 1 part foam (dry means extra foam and wet means extra milk).
latte is espresso with milk and a little foam on top
mocha is a latte with chocolate
cappuccino is espresso with milk to half mark of cup and the other half of cup foam.
espresso is just straight concentrated coffee

mocha is chocolate syrup, espresso the rest milk and dollop of whip cream.
espresso = small cup of extra strong coffee
cappucino = coffee with flavors and milk (ie, orange, etc)
latte = coffee with cream/milk (sometimes heated and frothed.)
mocha = coffee with chocolate
or ask google...
For all these drinks you must add coffee, which comes from the expresso beans and is called expresso. You then steam milk to foam/heat it up. If you just leave it as steamed milk and the coffee(expresso) then you have a latte. If you steam the milk further and make it mostly foam, you have a cappuccino. When you begin to add flavors and syrups to lattes you have different drinks (ie when you add chocolate mocha sauce to the latte(steamed milk and expresso) you have a mocha)
=)
An espresso is a small, strong black coffee.
Latte is an espresso with steamed milk in it to make it up to an average cup size.
Cappuccino is very similar to a latte but with chocolate sprinkled on top and the milk is foamier.
Mocha is a latte mixed with hot chocolate.
Espresso is coffee extracted at high temperature by steam.
Cappuccino is half espresso with steamed milk.
The name came from the monks who invented it.
Latte & Mocha are just modern variations.
Espresso shot: 1 oz. of very strong consotrated coffee.
Latte: Dense steamed milk with shots of espresso with 1/2 of velvety foam on top. Usually about 5 parts milk to 1 part espresso unless otherwise specified. Many people add flavors (example: I'll have a double tall (12 oz.) vanilla latte.)
Mocha: A latte that has chocolate syrup in it with less foam. Usually has whip cream.
Cappuchino: Shots of espresso and steamed milk that has more foam in it. When it sits the foam and the milk should divide to be equal parts. A cappuchino weighs less than a latte and you can specify how much foam you want with the words "wet" (more milk than foam) or "dry" (more foam than milk).
Frappuccino: This is a word that Starbucks invented but it is a blended drink. Other places have their own words like "freeze" or "ice storm" etc.
Hope this helps you sound informed when ordering coffee! Good luck!
Espresso - STRONG concentrated coffee - served in small cups which hold about 1/4 of what the normal mug holds. An acquired taste.
Mocha - chocolate flavoured coffee.
Latte - coffee with lots of hot milk
Cappucino - made with espresso, hot milk and hot frothy milk foam.
Hello, I work at a coffee shop
All of these drinks are espresso drinks.
Espresso--A very small amount (a shot glass full) of very concentrated and strong coffee. It's sweeter and a lot bolder than your usual cup of folgers and is usually served in very small amounts
A cappuccino is a drink that has espresso in it as well as a large amount of foam and milk (more foam than milk)
A latte is a drink that has espresso and steamed milk topped with a small amount of foam. This drink can have different syrups and flavors added to it
A mocha is the same as a latte, except that it has chocolate flavoring in it. Sort of like hot chocolate but with espresso. It is named after a type of coffee grown in Yemen that tastes like chocolate.
Hope that helps! :)
espresso is the base of all these drinks....its a 1.5oz "shot" of basicly condensed coffee...and a "double" espresso is a 3 oz....the rest follows as such:
cappuccino: shot of espresso, lots of milk foam...and a lil steamed milk
latte: **the reverse of a cappuccino** a shot of espress, lots of steamed milk... and a lil milk foam
mocha: a latte made with chocolate milk or hot coco
Frappuccino: Yes, this is a word that Starbucks invented...the bastards. Its a 'frappe' and a 'cappuccino' blended with ice - hence 'frappuccino. If anyone has ever had a iced frappe, then ther is not much difference - just add esspresso.
It pretty much depends on the ratio of espresso, milk and foam, and any other flavoring you put in it. Cappacinos are very dry and a lot of people order them thinking of a latte which has more milk than foam. Mochas are usually a latte with cocoa in it. Three pumps for tall, four for grande and five for venti...Sorry!
if you want to be taken seriously when answering a coffee question NEVER say expresso... its espresso... with an S not X!!! otherwise you make yourself sound and look like an idiot.
