Starbucks reccomendations??!

Question: hello, i am a starbucks addict. i get starbucks twice a week, but i get the same thing every time: vanilla latte. part of me wants to try something new, but the other part is afraid that i won't like it and i dont want to waste 3 bucks.

i am curious about the cafe latte. is it sweet or is it similar to regular coffee? i'm okay with pretty straight-up coffee, but i have a big sweet tooth so i prefer it to be pretty sweet too. i love the taste of coffe, but i like it to taste sweet. any reccomendations for lattes or mochas or anything warm? i'm open to any flavors of any kind. no cold drinks, half of the joy is just holding the warm cup in this kind of weather.

so lets hear your favorites!

Okay, here is the trick...

Ask your Barista for a recommendation. Tell him/her that you are stuck on the Vanilla Latte but are ready to try something new. The reason I say this is because if you don't like it, they will make you anything else at no extra charge (you can get your Vanilla Latte).

A big Vanilla Latte love myself, I would recommend a Tux (half mocha, half white mocha) because it is sweet and tasty. Something else you might try is replacing half the vanilla in your latte with mocha or hazelnut. That is how I weened myself from only doing vanilla.

Good luck on finding another great drink! Again, don't be afraid to ask your Barista!!

I love the peppermint flavored things, like mochas, hot chocolates, and lattes. It isn't Christmas anymore, but many Starbucks still keep the syrups and will add them to your drinks upon request.

My favorite Starbucks drink is a mocha latte. Basically it taste like it's half hot chocolate and half coffee. Try it - you may enjoy it as much as I do.

Grande, Decaf, low-fat, White Chocolate Mocha. The best indulgence for a grey day.

get a carmel sauce latte or the carmel macchiato. the carmel macchiato (spelling?) has carmel sauce, carmel syrup, and vanilla syrup (which is what they put in your vanilla latte) so if you like carmel try that one...
the carmel sauce latte has only carmel sauce in it (no vanilla)
good luck! everything is good! plus if you don't like it tell them, they might make you something else.

i'm a vanilla latte lover, too.

cafe lattes are definitely good. They are not nearly as sweet as vanilla lattes, but they aren't bitter either.

My new favorite is the cinnamon dolce latte. If you want to cut the calories, I think the 'skinny' version is just as good as the regular [not quite as sweet].

Other recommendations would include:
- caramel macchiato
- cafe mocha

hello! My favorite for the longest was a white mocha. I was on that kick forever until I found the cinnamon dolce latte, mmm, thats super good. During the holidays, I get their eggnog latte. If you are curious about the cafe latte, but want a bit of sweetness, get a shot of almond or vanilla syrup in it. Good luck!

I was always a big vanilla person and then I discovered the toffee nut latte! I love it but I switch between the vanilla and the toffee depending on my mood.

I love the white chocolate mocha with a pump of raspberry syrup it is soooooooo yummy!!

You should definately try the Caramel Macchiato. It has a blend of vanilla with milk and expresso. Ask for extra vanilla and a shot of caffine makes it taste even better.

Hazelnut latte all the way.....you just have to try one! And cafe mocha is also delicious, and caramel macchiato.....try them all, work your way through the menu!

i like alot of them

the best i always get is a white chocolate mocha yum yum

I like the Carmel Mockiatos or the Carmel Frappachinos( I ? Carmel )

Mmm...pumpkin spice latte is also very good

Trust me, if you like Vanilla Lattes, you will love the Caramel Macchiatos.

It's Vanilla syrup at the bottom, steamed milk, foam, shots poured through the milk, and caramel drizzle on top.
Since the shots are poured through the drink, you will get a strong coffee taste, but since it is topped with caramel, you will get a sweet taste too.

If you want to mix it up a bit, try a Cinnamon Dolce Latte. It is sweet, but not overtly so and you will taste the coffee(but not as much as you would in your Vanilla Latte). It tastes almost exactly like a cinnamon roll.

My favorite mocha type drink is a Peppermint Mocha with an extra shot(although, I believe they taste better during the holidays, and you just missed that time!).
If you like the taste of coffee, you will want to put that extra shot in there. Otherwise, you won't be getting a strong coffee taste.
If you want to try the White Mocha, I also recommend for your case to put an extra shot in there.

enjoy whatever you end up choosing!

the drink your curious about is my favorite drink.

To me, the cafe latte isnt all that sweet and its definitely not similar to reg. coffee. It contains espresso, steamed milk and foam (you know...the bubbly from the milk) You should at least give it a try.

The only recommendation I have is for you to go find a REAL coffee shop.

Starbucks is not a coffee company, it is a marketing company! They sell crap for coffee, and cover up the crap coffee with all sorts of syrup and fat laden cream.

If you actually went to a good independent shop, where they actually DO have a Batista, AND good coffee (fresh roasted), you will see that Starbucks is not much better than any fast food chain. Maybe that is why Starbucks is starting to compete with McDonald's... they are in the same market, competing for the dollar of the uneducated coffee drinker.
