What does the general public think french vanilla means or is...as in a latte?!

Question: I am curious in what the general public thinks when they order a french vanilla vers. regular vanilla latte or capp. I use half hazelnut and half vanilla for french vanilla and just vanilla for vanilla LOL. Some people want french vanilla but they dont want the hazelnut....OK thats vanilla..why add the french part Jeez. When you say french vanilla do you mean just vanilla and are just adding the french part for the hell of it. This frustrating!!!! that and everyone seems to think a cappucino is a latte. Even after I explain that a cappucino has 1/3 frothed milk rather than all steamed milk like a latte they still complain. Why is this so light, its all foam... duh...

You're right, French Vanilla is technically vanilla and hazelnut. Vanilla is just... well, vanilla. If the customer doesn't like it, politely explain this to them and offer to remake it. At least they learned something in the process lol =P

French Vanilla, or vanilla it is all the same.

Because coffee houses give names to their drinks in order for customers to identify them....many people dont have a clue how their drink was made or what ingredients had..they just enjoy !. many americans dont know the difference between a flavored coffee bean and brewed coffee with add flavors......you learn that from experience, about coffee drinking, and working in Starbucks LOL
