Diet sodas taste so sweet because the artificial sweeteners used are sweeter than sugar or corn syrup.
Because it uses artificial sweetener which is stronger than actual sugar :)

I was watching a program on TV the other night and they showed the amount of sugar in a litre of coke cola and it was over half a mug of sugar per litre So now you know why it tastes so nice Give it up
