Watery Tea?!

Question: My friends and I love herbal and specialty teas (hot). Whenever one of them does it, the tea tastes great. For some reason when I make it is tastes like water for the most part. I have tried letting it steep for a really long time, using less water, I have even had one of my friends watch me do it (I did it the same way she did) and nothing worked, does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? I follow what is says to do.

ok first.
make sure that you are using the right brand of herbal tea
and measure the right amount of hot water.
when you have poured the water in.. squish the teabag in the cup repeatidly with the spoon to make sure all the flavour comes out
[just make sure it dont pop! lol]

sometimes if tea is stored to long how much you might use a tea caddy they loose there flavour and get to dry to much i suggest you buy a small packet of herbal tea. and filter your water has you part of the world or country the water could be too hard.

1) boil water

2) roughly use 1 teaspoon of tea per cup.

3) put the tea in the teapot, pour enough hot water in; if you put 1 teaspoon of tea, use 1 cup of water. if you put 2 teaspoons of tea in the pot, use 2 cups of water...

4) wait 1-2 min, pour tea into cups.

if you don't want to use a teapot, but want to make indiividual cups of tea, use a tea strainer like these

that goes over a tea cup to hold the tea.

not sure if you are using tea bags or loose leaf. If it's a tea bag, please try boiling the water, then adding the tea bag for 6 minutes.

if it's loose leaf tea, use boiling water and add more loose leaf tea. It's usually 3 teaspoons per 6 oz.
