Gross tea, and weird taste buds?!

Question: This is weird, and ya'll might think I'm a little weird to, but I'm just curious. My dad made this really wierd tasting tea, and it was GROSS! The thing was, you didn't taste it when it was in your mouth, but you did after you swollowed it. Me and my weird brain and curiousity, I asked him if when you had it in your mouth and spit it out instead of swollowing it did you still get the after taste. SO he , while laughing at me, tried at. It does not have the same effect. WHy is this?

I'm sorry it's just a real big curiousity! I know, I know, curiosity got the cat. lol :D

Skeeter, you are weird, but that is the very reason I don't drink milk. hehehe.... anyway, it was probably bitter, and the bitter spot on your tongue is on the very back, so you probably started tasting it as you were swallowing...... =D

i wish i would know the name of that gross tea. Was it Chai? some people think the spices in that drink are kind of gross. I actually didn't like it at first, but it sort of grew on me.
