Is 7up or Sprite good for you when you're sick?!

Question: My parents would always give this to me as a kid and always thought it made me feel better, but maybe it was just psychological, has anyone else's parents done this or have you had experience in getting or feeling better while being sick drinking it?

It helps to settle my stomach.

7-up + yes it works

it made me feel better - i dont know why though

i know i was told to drink ginger ale when i got my tonsils out..
and sprite or 7up is better than coke or pepsi- the lighter the better- less syruppy! feel better!

7 up always works for me

It is considered a clear liquid and will help keep you hydrated. Also the carbonation helps settle the stomach. 7-up, sprite, and ginger ale are all good examples.

I was always given flat ginger ale. The sugar in it would give me some energy. The ginger made it easy on my stomach. The water kept me hydrated. The best part was that somebody was caring for me. :)

idk, ive always heard that GINGERALE is good for you...so is coca-cola, once u let it get flat (coke was first invented as a medicine to help headaches and stuff but when the inventor accidentally added fizzy water to the syrup instead of regular water, the soda was born)
7-up always makes me feel kinda sick, lol...so maybe that is just psychological =)

I aslo was given 7up as akid and it did work i dont know why they would also give me warm coke

Sprite always works for me. I think it settles your stomach and just makes you feel better some how.

Sprite always settles my stomach down.

It's the carbonation.
However, my parents used, as I do, Ginger Ale.

I remember drinking 7 up when I was little
And when I get sick now that I'm older I still drink it to get better.

Yeah, they taste good.
