"Pop", "Soda Pop", or just plain "Soda"??(where do you live?)?!
Answers: I'm from Michigan, we say "pop!", however, when we're drinking ginger ale, we ALWAYS call it "Vernors"!
I'm from Australia and we call it soft drink or fizzy drink. Noone calls it soda unless we are referring to actual soda water (which we use to mix with alcohol)..

I'm from Ohio, we call it "pop" too. My uncle used to live in South Carolina and he was used to calling it "pop", but when he got there he felt like an idiot because they all called it "soda". Down here in Tennessee, you never hear anyone saying "pop". Its usually "coke" (Coca-Cola or not) or sometimes "soda". Weird, huh?

In texas we call everything a Coke, if if we are drinking Dr. Pepper. Otherwise some people say soda.
