Some brands are better than others.
Some of the cheaper teas can be horrible others quite good.
If you like you tea and have a sense for teas you will soon appreciate a good one.
I like Twining's of London's Earl Grey the best and am prepared to pay extra for it.

As a treat I may make a pot of Lady Grey.

yes, because they come from the same tea leaves as name brand teas

try typhoo- the best!

Some are more flavorful but you can still spend 99 cents and have good tea!

Try to find an organic brand, tea is healthy but pesticides are not.

If you want *good* tea, don't ever buy cheap tea.
I'm very fond of tenren.com's teas. They have a local store where I buy it, but you can get it online. It's amazing tea.

Tea is like coffee or tobacco in that they may look the same, but buyers at auctions will tell you the quality of a tea can vary greatly due to farming or weather conditions for that year. If you drink Lipton, you simply get what you pay for.

well they seen the same to me i have millions lol. =]

some brands, the more expensive ones, will probably be more flavorful, but as far as being good for you.. it's all tea.

ya they all have anti oxidents and things.
theres different kinds of teas tho that have to do with the 'oxidation' process which make them less beneficial. green is the best in this regard. it's the freshest and purest.

if you are really into tea then the best you can hope to get is the loose leaf variety. you might want to shop at a specialty store for this, but believe me, you won;t regret the quality and flavor.

I like tetley. i forget how much they are. not expensive though.

Tea brands are not all the same. There are many different blends of teas, and the blends are very carefully selected and mixed by expert tasters in the plant.

A significant amount of research goes into the various locations for good crops, and the production cycle

Of the top tea production countries (China, India, Sri Lanka), Indian and Sri Lankan blends are most popular in the Western World.

Lyons Tea, and Twinnings have the largest R&D and yearly production research labs to pick and mix the perfect blends.

Remember most teas are a blend of various other types.

Yeah, most of the time the no-name and brand name products come from the same source

I wouldn't trust any old brand. Like the brands in chinese grocery stores, I would not get tea there since it seems that they're all covered in dust meaning they've been sitting there for long periods of time. I'll still buy other stuff there though.

The brands I trust have relatively high turnover, Celestial Seasonings, Tazo, Republic of tea, etc etc.

not all, only London Grey

Whether you think one tea is good vs. another really depends on preference. Cheap tea can still be good, but it might not have the same quality as others. I personally like Bigelow Tea. It is decently priced, and it tastes good as well.

-Liz for Bigelow Tea

yes
