If lutein (a vitamin compound) is insoluable, how is it added to vitaminwater?!

Question: I read online that lutein is a vitamin found in spinach, carrots, and other leafy greens. Then it said it was insoluable in water. So I'm wondering how Glaceau's Vitaminwater was able to get it to go inside this drink (focus, the kiwi-strawberry one)? Is it a bogus claim, do you think?

If you look at the ingredients, you'll see "gum ester" which is a food additive that is used to keep insoluble ingredients suspended in water.
