Turkish coffee mill - is 30 min. a record, or should i slow down?!

It should be known that I'm generally a patient person; however, there are limits.

Recently I got a Turkish coffee mill; it's not a Zassenhaus, but it is Turkish. I was all fired up to use it; half an hour later, I still didn't have all the beans ground for two stinkin' cups!

I've tried it twice, both taking the same, long time. It's taken the oomph out of making Turkish coffee, and I'm considering going back to store-bought grounds. But since this is my first hand mill, I need to know - did I buy a piece of crap, or does it just always take this long?

Always remember, you get what you pay for.
A Zass Turkish grinder is the standard by which other turkish grinders are measure. If you are not getting the results of a Zass and you paid about the same, you got hosed. If you paid a lot less for it, then you got what you paid for. And that is exactly what these fraud companies are banking on, people buying 'The Deal'.
Put it on e-bay as a 'novelty item' and go find a Zass....

Oh, It takes me about 7 or 8 minutes while watching T.V. to grind my two cups worth of turkish (I use 10 grams) in my Zass.
