Organic Milk in public schools?!

Question: Sould schools give the kids organic milk instead of regular milk? On the 700 Club Pat seemed to make this a very important matter. Sould schools work on moving to organic milk? We are told that regular milk has growth harmones and this milk can cause cancer. What is your take on the subject?

Great, Pat Robertson said it on a religious program so we should make changes on his say so.

In terms of quality, safety and nutrition, there's no difference between organic and regular milk.

Both contain the same combination of nutrients that make dairy foods an important part of a healthy diet. Organic milk is just one choice among many in the dairy case that can help people meet the U.S. government's recommended three servings a day of milk and milk products.

Some dairy farmers choose to supplement their cows with a synthetic version of bST (known as rbST) to increase milk production – it is not added to the milk itself. This use of supplemental bST was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1993 after extensive review; the safety of milk from rbST-supplemented cows has been affirmed over the past 20 years. Many dairies, in response to consumer demand, still have eliminated the use of rbST.

However, in terms of price, there is a big difference, about $1.50 to $3.00 a gallon depending on the part of the country you live in.

So why should we spend the extra money for no extra nutritional gain?

anything organic to me is good because its someone given to us by Nature :)

I think we should have organic milk!

organic is crap
