i'm indian and i know how, ok.
ingredients:
8 oz full fat yogurt (or depending on how much you need)
about 2 teaspoons of sugar(or how much needed)
1/4 cup water (once again, or how much needed)
ice cubes (depending on how cold you want it you'll need)

steps:
just put all the ingredients into a blender and blend until the ingredients are thoroughly blended. pour into a glass and you may add more ice on top if needed. ENJOY!

Sorry, I only know how to make Mango Lassi - I love it!

If you search Google for "Lassi" you will be able to find many different recipes for plain Lassi.

a lot of yogurt, milk, salt/ sugar. into a blender with that add a little ice if you want it cool and with that crunch it gives, then blend it.
you could also add some fruit to that - usually mangoes the best.
the yogurt has to be a loose, the bitter kind and full fat.
mangoes, get the big Indian / Pakistani ones. id advise you to buy pure mango pulp from a tin its better and works well for lassi. you can get that from most super stores.

What kind of sick individual would put Lassie into a blender ?

Such a lovely dog, and intelligent with it !

Shame on you cruel people !!!!!

Well in the uk, I find the packaged lasis a bit too salty. So you should take have a bottle of it and add half abottle of water, mix it all together in a jug and serve! Add more salt to your taste!
Or you can get pain yougurt and whisk it with a fork till it become total liqauid and just follow the instructions on top!
Enjoy

Blue gave a pretty good answer. Fruit is not absolutely necessary, but can be added if that's what you want. Some crushed nuts on the top helps. But these are all dressing. It's basically plain yoghurt, milk, sugar and ice, with just the merest hint of rose water. (more than just a drop and the lassi will be bitter) Salt is good too, but not for me!
Lovely jubbly! Great summer drink!

Sweet Lassi

1 cup of yogurt
? a cup of water
? a cup of ice cubes
3 to 5 teaspoons of sugar
A pinch of salt

A dollop of plain yogurt for garnishing

Blend all the ingredients at high speed till frothy.
Add a dollop of fresh yogurt on top.
Makes two to three glasses of Lassi.

Salty Lassi

This Salty Lassi is spiced with cumin and is a great refreshing drink in the summer.

1 tsp cumin seeds
1 cup plain yogurt
1 cup chilled milk
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 to 1 tsp salt
1/2 cup of ice cubes

A dollop of plain yogurt for garnishing

Dry roast ( What is Dry roasting?) the cumin seeds for a few minutes until you start getting a wonderful aroma. Cool and grind to a coarse consistency. In a blender blend all the ingredients. Top it up with a dollop of yogurt. Serve chilled.

Makes 4 servings.

Note : Using fat free yogurt is a splendid way of making a "guilt free" cool summer drink.

Mango Lassi

1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup mango pulp (fresh or canned)
1 cup crushed ice
3 table spoons sugar / Use sugar substitute if desired

Blend all of the above. Add a little water if the consistency is too thick. Keep refrigerated.
Serve chilled. Makes 4 servings.

Dry Roasting : This term is used to describe the process of heating spices on medium high heat in a shallow frying pan without any oil. This dry sautéing is done until the natural oils in the spices start emitting their natural aroma and the spice is lightly toasted. Individual spices are lightly toasted this way before they are ground so as to extract the maximum flavor from the spice.

This process works very well to rejuvenate the old spices sitting in your cupboards. Dry roasting them will bring out their flavors.

Pineapple Lassi

1 cup ripe, fresh pineapple (peeled and diced)
125 ml/1/2 cup plain, natural yoghurt
125 ml/1/2 cup water
2 tbsp sugar
cup ice cubes

Place all ingredients in the jug of an electric blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Pour into chilled glasses and serve immediately.
