Is sparkling flavoured water bad for you?!

Question: Obviously straight water is the best thing to drink but i can't drink it in large quantities. I prefer flavoured carbonated water. What i want to know is - is carbonated water bad for you because it contains more acid to erode your teeth. Also is anything carbonated in general just bad for your teeth?

It is the carbonation process that makes drinks more acidic, added sugar makes it worse. Sparkling water, flavoured drinks are really just a chemical soup, I would rather drink something natural. i water down fruit juice or drink herbal teas, mint is very nice and so are a lot of the berry teas, which you can cool and drink cold as well. I think anything that contains a lot of chemicals should be reserved for occational use, rather than a daily choice.

more than about 6 carbonated drinks per day can throw your electrolytes off-balance. As long as you're under that, you're fine.

If it doesn't have sugar then it's not too bad but if it's full of high fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners (splenda, aspertame, ect) then it's very bad for you.

Carbonation is not only bad for your teeth, but it also robs calcium from your bones. Yes, the sparkling flavored waters are better for you than a soda, but the carbonation still makes them unhealthy for daily use. I'd suggest a calcium supplement.
