Cherry Cider
While passing thru Georgia, had a wicked Peach cider, while in Wisconsin, had Cherry, and I have had several blends of different juices from different regions of U.S. made into cider...the whole idea is to make with what is on hand. It is tasty, too!
pear cider called kopperberg from sweden is lush and very morish
the only other "root" fruit i believe is the pear. other juices may be added to either the apple or the pear ciders. ie. cherry,strawberry etc.
My mom bought a cranberry cider during the holidays. It was very good. Did not even know it exists.
