Are soda siphon and whipped cream makers the same thing?!

Question: I want to buy a soda siphon and was also looking at whipped cream makers and I cant tell if they are the same thing and can be used interchangeably or are they just seperate devices that happen to look similar.
Would be sweet if it did two in one.
Thank you!

No, they're similar in function, but they're definitely not the same and you couldn't use them interchangeably.

A Soda siphon is also known as a spritzer bottle, or seltzer bottle. It is used only to make carbonated water. That's Carbon dioxide dissolved in water.

A whipped cream maker puts nitrous oxide (a different gas) into very cold, heavy whipping cream.

i think they are the same
