I am a barista and want ppls opinion on...?!

Question: I'm a university student with a part time job as a barista. Everyone i work with is really nice. It just kinda makes me mad that since there are only 2 keys for locking the door at night, that if I am the one closing then I have to return the key the next day. Should I be getting paid for the amount of time it takes me to drive over there and return the key or am I just being dumb? Why can't they have a key for every employee?!

If they are requiring you to bring the key back outside of your normal hours they have to reimburse you for the travel and time if you are in the United States (thats all I know because that is where I live). If you are out of the states then I don't know.

I would not return it, tell them to come get it from you at home on their way to work if they don't want to give you your own key... that's BS

Can't have keys for every employee cos in the event of anything, there's too many possibilities and harder to narrow down "who" caused it..Getting paid,no but u should be reimbursed like in the form of allowance or gas money..or just avoid the closing shift maybe?

'barista' ?? gangster lawyer?
