My parents won't buy me any more soda!!!?!

Question: My mom said if I keep drinking it then I'll get kidney preblems. The only reason my dad won't buy me any is because my mom told him not to or other wise he would still be buying me soda. I haven't drank any soda in a week and I've been very thirsty lately. How can I convince my parents to buy me soda!!!

it will just make you thirstier. you're probably just having caffeine withdrawals. try water. and if you dont like plain water try fruit2o or propel ... or gatorade! plus its healthier , soda has to much sugar and caffeine and is bad for you inside... and will give you bad skin.

You sound incredibly spoilt. How about just respecting what your parents say for a change and not whining about it to us? :o)

Soda won't quench a thirst - water will.
Caffeinated drinks like cola actually are diarrhetics - they deplete your body of much-needed fluids, making you MORE thirsty.
WAY TOO MUCH SUGAR in sodas.
Instead, try mixing 1/4 glass of pure, unsweetened orange juice with COLD water. It tastes REALLY good and is good for you.

Move out, get a job and buy your own soda. Until then, obey your parents like you should.

Try some of the sugar free Kool-aid mixes or Gatoraide. They taste pretty good.

Soda is horrible for your body.
Get in the habit of drinking gatorade, water, even juice!
It will make you happier...and healthier. :)

try water..or gatorade...or sumthing like that
too much soda gives u pimples...and i kno no one wants that..
^_^

Maybe everyone sounds like your parents because your parents are right. Too much soda isn't good for you, especially for teenagers. You need to drink more water. If you don't like plain water, add Crystal Light. The little packets come in all kinds of flavors and are low calorie.

Good for them! You have good parents. Try some water. I don't drink anything but water and green tea, and I don't even miss soda. You get used to it.

Sorry, I am a father who has a daughter that drinks too much soda, and unlike you case, her mother is the one keeps buying it for her. Sure, I agree to buying 7-up or Sprite if my daughter's is feeling kind of queezy. Somehow it make myself and her feel better, but I am not too keen on her drinking soda all the time. Here is a link I researched on the Internet. Please review for yourself.

OK YOU GOT IT EASY MY MOM IS A HELTH FREAK I HAVENT HAD SODA IN A YEAR. YOU ARE LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!

this will impress them. Ready for my idea? have a serious talk with them about the soda. Listen to them. Really listen to what they have to say. Try to listen with an open mind. Just know that they care about you, they love you, and they are really concerned for your health. Tell them that you will do some research on the effects of soda and diet sodas and energy drinks on the human body. Ask them to reward you with some soda if you do what you promise.

you really sound like you could use a break from pop...

umm how about just not drinking soda.
i rarely ever have soda and I'm doing just fine, it makes you actually get to enjoy the taste when you do have it
plus it's not a thirst quencher...drink water or juice, something more healthy anyways

drink something else, like WATER

You can't convince your parents. Pop is actually not that good for you anyway because of how much sugar is in it. If you want something sweet, try lemonade, fruit punch, gatorade, or something other than pop. I haven't drank pop in about 5 1/2 months, and now it is too sweet for me. If you want something sweet like pop, try something else. You never know what you might like.

Shes not kidding. Its INCREDIBLY bad for you and it doesnt quench your thirst at all. DRINK WATER! If you drink soda you can get many health problems as well, including obiesity. A week is fine, you'll survive... i havent had soda in 5 years.. I drink water
