Is drinking Gatorade dangerous?!


Question: I told a friend that I drink Gatorade on a regular basis. He said that you should never drink it unless you're exercising or ill. He says that if you just drink it for the sake of drinking it you're putting minerals back into your body when they weren't depleted in the first place.

I'm skeptical of this. I've always thought of Gatorade as a good alternative to soda, which certainly is unhealthy.

Gatorade has a lot of sodium in it as well which isnt good for you in large amounts unless uve been sweating, so i wouldnt drink gatorade unless uve been working out or are dehydrated, but gatorade g2 is more of a drinking water so if u like to just drink gatorade for the hell of it u should try g2

well gatorade isnt all that healthy..its full of sugar and stuff. but it tastes really good and is better than soda. so drink it if you want-i doubt its harmful to your body.

You're friend is wrong in what he is saying BUT he is right that you should not drink that stuff! Despite it having electrolytes, it is FULL OF HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP which is sugar which basically cancels out ALL the "health benefits" Gatorade boasts! Drink water, drink tea, drink coffee - DO NOT DRINK gatorade! It is full of empty calories & high fructose corn syrup is one of the worst additives ever created - read labels because it is in A LOT of packaged foods & drinks!

Gatoraide is not dangerous I wouldnt think.. IT contians alot of water.. and it repleaces the electrolites, sweated out when doing workouts or sports..

ok Gatorade won't kill you (only if you drink like 30 bottles a day)ummm yes it it pretty bad 4 u because there is FAKE sugar(youed be better off chuging a bucket of REAL suger!) it also has artiphisial flavors and perservatives and other bad stuff u don't want to know about

i'd just cut down on drinking a lot of it
don't get freeked out though!!!
