i'm not exactly sure but i'd try 1 1/2 or 2 cups

2 quarts of water use some to heat the tea bag up and use the rest for the pitcher

each tea bags makes one quart of hot tea. What you should do is pour one cup of boiling water over the tea bag, let it steep 5-6 minutes, then take the tea bag out. Add water to make exactly one quart. Serve over ice.
