Being Filipino, I was conditioned to like (to love) Coca Cola. Coke is such an intrinsic part of Filipino life that we call all kinds of bottled and canned softdrinks as Coke.

I like both drinks, but I tend to like Pepsi more. Coke has a more flat taste that leaves more of an aftertaste and it has this distinct stickiness to it that makes your teeth kind of want to stick together a little. Pepsi is just a little sweeter and just doesn't have that funny wang to it that Coke does. One of my co-workers who has the same name as me, said he was a Pepsi fan too when he was young and is now a Coke fan being older.
When I was in junior high we did the taste test. Three different cola products were used. Of course everyone figured they were Coke, Pepsi, and RC. Coke came in third. Pepsi came in second. So everybody at once thought the remaining one had to be RC. The winner turned out to be Big K cola from Kroger. Yeah, the cheap brand from Kroger won. It surprised me too. The funny thing is some devote Coke and Pepsi fans got their brand wrong.
I've also heard that the taste test winner is somewhat influenced by the temperature of the cola. Pepsi will win at one temperature and Coke will win at another.
I personally like Pepsi Max. It's the first diet cola that really doesn't taste like a diet. Most diet colas have that real thin consistency to them. Pepsi Max you can still taste that slight syrupy consistency like a regular cola has. And it doesn't taste like that fake sugar either. Now if Pepsi could just make Diet Mountain Dew taste like regular Mountain Dew.
Coke is Good. Trust me. I only prefer Coca Cola.
