Suddently tea smells and tastes bad.?!


Question: Once every 5 or 6 times i pour boiling water into a cup with a teabag, the tea immediately smells bitter and bad...

you should specify what kind of tea it is.

black tea requires boiling water
green tea requires slightly cooler water (175-185F)
white tea requires slightly cooler water also

oolong requires hot but not boiling water (185-195F

the water might be too hot, or you may have switched tea bags. Maybe you have a bad batch of tea bags.

tea must be old

maybe you are catching a cold

The same thing happened to my mother about 20 years ago, she cannot drink tea anymore, she said all she could taste is tannin.
