We collect cans and it is definately worth the hassle. We get anywhere from 75-100 dollars twice a year. Here is a tip though. If you collect the cans then take the tabs off and collect them in a seperate container. You get about 65 dollars for a gallon (milk) jug of tabs. This takes a while to accumulate but its not much work. Plus you are doing the right thing by recycling. You get more money if you smash your cans also. Reason you get more for your tabs is because they are pure aluminum and the can itself is only made with aluminum, the tabs are also "clean" in the matter of dyes and such.

Yes its worth it no matter what you get back your still getting money back.

I have heard of people really making some decent money doing this. Especially if you collect the cans all year!
Wow...I hope your dad has space? Different states pay different amounts for the cans. Even if you get $20.00, twenty bucks is twenty bucks.

it used to be 17 cents a pound.....think it's gone up though!!!

yes it will work. its worth it. you get lots of$$$$$$$$$.

we do that but you will need to turn them in more than once a year!1

Good Luck

If you live in a state where they have a recycling program in your local store then you should. In Michigan you get 10 cents per can and in some other states it's 5 cents.

i collect cans and you get paid by the pound for them the other thing though about the soda tabs you have to take them completely off or that doesn't count ie, a circle has to be in the middle of the circle of the tab.......Pump ur brakes i didn't say it wasn't all aluminum i said take the entire tab off tyvm!
