you're getting caffeine withdrawal headaches/migraines. They really suck, but they eventually stop, even if you go cold turkey.
There are 2 ways to avoid them
1- try to slowly wean yourself off by drinking less and less each day
2- go cold turkey on the soda, but take small amounts of caffeine for couple days to avoid the headaches. You can have some coffee, tea,or take excedrin- it'll alleviate the pain and it has some caffeine in it

If you're not trying to completely cut out caffeine, you can try drinking tea- hot or cold, green, black or herbal-they're all much healthier than soda. Make it yourself- all you need is some tea, hot water and ice (if you're making iced tea). It's much cheaper, and you don't have to add any sugar.
Or you can try water with some lemon- it's more refreshing than plain water, and the lemon smell helps you focus when you're trying to give up caffeine.

Try to carry food around with you so when you get a craving you can satisfy it by just eating some good and healthy food with a glass of tea

Ok, The Second worst drink for you is soda, the worst would have to be Diet soda. Most diet sodas contain sucralose, better known as Splenda, this little sweetner can cause heart problems like no other, so i would stop for that reason, your headaches and bad mood could be a becouse you are hypoglycemic, its when your blood sugar gets low more frequently, you best bet would be to just slowly stop drinking soda, expecially diet soda and carry around healthy snacks and a bottle of water or a low sugar sports drink with you and when you start getting a headache, drink plenty of fluids , and eat somthing

simply cut back on the amount you drink. slowly ween it out of your diet. Although I crave it once in a while, I know there are better alternatives because of all of the chemicals and aspartame in those drinks. The important part is knowing that it isn't the best thing in the world for ya. good luck.

i have to give up pepsi for lent, i've been drinking juice, milk, water, kool aid, and propel
