16 ounces

none at all. Unless it's soymilk.

Check the pyramid. Milk falls under "Dairy".

none.

did you know their is cow pus in milk? did you know they make the chocolate milk because there is blood and they can't get it white?

at least, that is what i've heard.

they say two glasses of milk but I dont think It matters really as long as drink milk.

it depends, are you getting calcium and vitamin D from other sources? 3 servings a day is recommended, that's about 24oz of milk, but if you're getting the nutrients you need from milk from other sources (cheese, yogurt, etc) than you can cut down on the milk if you want

and the comment above about blood and pus in milk is total bull, people are far too gullible

2 glass daily is enough for your body need of calcium ..

Why milk?
We all know that the calcium in milk helps build strong bones, but milk is loaded with eight other essential vitamins and minerals.

* Calcium: Helps build and maintain strong bones. It's also vital for nerve function, muscle contraction, and blood clotting.

* Protein: Important for a number of bodily functions – vital to brain development and the growth of body tissues.

* Vitamin A: Maintains normal vision and skin. Helps regulate cell growth and integrity of the immune system.

* Vitamin B-12: Essential for the growth and health of the nervous system. Linked to normal activity of folic acid and is involved in blood formation.

* Vitamin D: Promotes the absorption of calcium and phosphorus, and influences bone mineralization, the strengthening of bones.

* Potassium: Regulates the body's fluid balance and blood pressure. It also is needed for muscle activity and contractions.

* Phosphorus: Helps generate energy in the body's cells and influences bone mineralization, the strengthening of bones.

* Niacin: Keeps enzymes functioning normally and helps the body process sugars and fatty acids. It is also important for the development of the nervous system.

* Riboflavin: Helps produce energy in the body's cells and plays a vital role in the development of the nervous system.

If you are healthy and no cholestrol, I would suggest 2 to 3 cups, unless you get gas or bloatiness.

NONE.
Cows produce milk to help their baby cows grow and get fat. Humans do not need cow milk. The dairy industry is making billions of dollars off of selling milk and the idea that people need it. Drink water.

depends, the US government says 2- 3 servings a day, but that would also include cheese, real butter, cottage cheese, yogurt, and the like. Also if you're pregnant changes it a bit, so like I said it depends.

Human beings need lactose as children to develop. Once you have passed puberty you no longer need lactose, take a calcium supplement and a multi vitamin and you will get all the nutrient value you need. The human body is supposed to become lactose intolerant in adulthood. So those who are lactose intolerant are more evolved than those who aren't.

How much milk an adult should drink per day depends on the overall diet. If you wish to gain the RDA of calcium from only milk, then you should drink about 24 oz. daily.

Milk, especially skim milk, can be part of a healthy diet for adults. But milk is not necessary if you have a balanced diet.
