Why does Irn Bru taste so bad in a bottle yet so nice in a can?!

Question: When irn bru is in a bottle it makes me feel sick...

Answers: When irn bru is in a bottle it makes me feel sick...

Personally im not an Irn Bru fan, but i do find this to be true of many soft drinks like vimto, coca cola, and fanta. I think it is the metallic taste i like, but im not sure! Also, when i have a bottle i tend to keep opening it to drink a bit and closing it which makes it lose fizz, whereas with a can i will drink it quicker in one go so it doesnt lose fizz.

Sorry - have to disagree - it tastes like cack from both -

The stuff in the glass bottle and cans is good but the plastic bottle is yuck!!! They must alter the recipie .

maybe it get colder quicker in a can,ive noticed it too its worse tasting from a plastic bottle it goes flat too quick

Sacrilege! irn bru is FAB anyway but especially with a big nip o southern comfort!

The stuff in the glass bottles is actually made from Glasgow water(which I prefer)unlike the gunk in the plastic bottles and cans.

I always drink it from a can, never the bottle! It does taste different...

Unless I'm really craving it...

That's my national drink you're insulting! :-)
It tastes much better when you shove a shot of vodka in it though! (Gotta love a vodka girder!)

ITS ALL MINGING UNLESS YOU GOT VODKA WITH IT

U like the taste of metal!
