Why does pouring a cup of hot coffee into a saucer result in faster cooling?!

Question: Can you tell me two reasons?

Answers: Can you tell me two reasons?

I can't think of a second reason, but one is that you've increase the surface area, allowing the cool air to reach more of the coffee.

more of the coffee is exposed to the air therefore it cools quicker

The cold of the plate starts to cool, but it is that there is a lager surface and less depth for the liquid to cool.

Its all about surface area. Once poured into a saucer, more of the coffee is exposed to the air so it cools down faster.

It becomes a larger and shallower surface area which cools faster.

the larger the surface the faster it will cool
