if i were to make it, i would use my $60 espresso machine (pays for itself quickly), brew two shots of espresso, add it to a blender with milk, ice, and caramel or chocolate and blend. i use to be addicted to those $4 frappachinos!

its so easy to use my espresso machine, in my opinion its easier for me to brew a shot or espresso than it is to measure and guess and make a pot of crappy coffee. check out espresso pods, those are preloaded coffee grounds to use in the machine (no grinding, measuring, no mess). starbucks sells their own pods at www.cooking.com

Well just be sure you use a little coffee, lots of milk and ice, and some sugar and flavored syrup. It won't taste like a Frappe if you put too much coffee. Target sells packets of mix that you use with milk and ice in a blender to make something like it. Look in the coffee section. Much cheaper than the real thing. It's called Archer Farms Caramel Blended Iced Coffee Mix. About $4 for 6 packets I think (less than $1 per drink).

starbucks uses a "frappucino mix" and they mix it with coffee. i would say any coffee would do, but maybe a medium or light coffee, not bold. not sure what the frappucino mix is made of though. and thats basically a coffee frappe. add chocolate and it'll be a mocha frappe. add caramel and its a caramel frappe!
