Starbucks is consistent in creating good coffee - unlike some "joe-blow" espresso bars that don't stick to recipes.
I've thrown many expensive drinks away because some off-brand espresso bar ruined it - now I only go to Starbucks and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. I don't risk getting burnt tasting or over scalded milk. If you go to an espresso bar and they DON'T use a thermometer to heat up the milk - turn and run to your nearest Starbucks....
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Starbucks...I always get a Grande Cinnamon Dolce Latte during the winter and a Iced Mocha or Iced Carmel in the summer.
