Addiction to diet coke and most fizzy pop please help !!?!
Answers: I seem to crave diet cke the most and if theres no coke then anything else fizzy. I crave since I wake in the morning and till i go to sleep. Its not an option to get rid of it atogether from the house as other family members have it at dinner. I seem to personally get through about 3 bottles after 4 days. PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!
You might also be addicted to the caffeine in the soda. Try switching to non-caffeinated sodas like Sprite, 7-Up, orange soda or Root Beer if you just want the fizzy. These all come in diet versions as well.
Once you get over the caffeine cravings, then reduce your soda intake altogether by substituting water, juice or whatever else you like.
A couple of months ago, I got sick for about a week and could not drink soda. This helped me reduce my craving for sodas. I would drink like a super big gulp and 2-3 cans of soda a day, on average. Now, I only drink about 1 super big gulp and 3-4 cans of soda per week, on average.
In the last 6 months or so, I have only had about 6 caffeinated sodas, and have found I don't miss it that much. Even if we go out for fast food, most places have lemonade (I don't drink iced tea), so I get that instead. Occasionally I'll have Sprite or root beer, but try to get the lemonade whenever possible.
Hope this helps
Well,it does sound like you like soda, but diet Soda's contain special chemicals that make you crave more of the same product,so I would try to cut back on that as much as possible. As for soda,in general,i would try a healthier substitute. when i am craving a lot of soda,i usually go for one of those crystal light packs with some lime seltzer...it tastes pretty good and it's not as bad for you as soda.
Hope this helps,
Rori
Soda is really bad for you. You should cut down.
If you really need something fizzy try seltzer [its basically carbonated water with a little flavor] or get some Izze soda. Izze is just fruit juice with sparkling water so it doesn't have any of the carmel coloring or artificial sweeteners.[http://www.izze.com/]
But, carbonation can be very bad for you. It makes your bones brittle. So even though there are alternatives, sticking with water in any siduation is the best :]
And if the rest of your family is tempting you, see if they can also try something new with you.
try carbonated waters.
it still has the fizz but is healthier than soda.
thats what worked for me.
i used to be just like you.
but its been one month today since i had pop.
