Just acquired an espresso machine & don't know how to use it - can anyone help?!

Question: Can't get hold of instructions for my model, but checked out current manuals online & they seem pretty complicated - 'priming' them &waiting 6 mins to build pressure; I thought it was just a case of adding water & espresso-ground coffee in the appropriate places! Any clues gratefully received!!

your right , some people (coffee snobs) think that you need to warm everything like run the machine once before you make espresso or it tastes different & warm the cup. you can try it but i didnt find much differance, though if your gonna froth milk your best to use a metal container & cold , cold milk.

if its a steam machine you will need to wait till the water is hot thats what it means to build pressure when i had a Krups steam espresso maker i tested the steam through the steam wand if it was hot steam would come out.

Contact the manufacturer and ask for a booklet or download one from thier website.
