Unopened two week old milk good or bad to drink?!

Question: The date on milk is the "SELL BY DATE" not the expire date. Cold milk un-opened can very well be good up to 2 weeks...only if keeped at a VERY cool temp 35-40 degrees, and left un opened. To check if its good or not, boil a cup of water and take a teaspoon of milk and pour it into the cup. If the milk "blends" with the water, its still good, if it clumps, BAD BAD MILK, and toss it.

If milk is past expiration day depends where you're, it's bad.
If milk is unopened and did not expire, it property worm and it will not be very tasty.

Well, if it smells and tastes OK it won't make you sick. After two weeks anything growing in there would have made the milk sour.

open it up and smell it. that will be the dead give away. and if it is old enough........ dead is the operative word here

pitch in the garbage mils is not that expensive why try to get a bad case of stomach ache or diarrhea

i dont no
ur spending ur life on yahoo answers
when you could be out buying a freaking new milk

Your nose knows.

check its expiry dates....in bottles it may expire soon but in tetra pack it stays good for long..

god! open it and find out! if its fresh bad if it a carton unopened its ok

Depends on what kind of milk you buy - is it the fresh stuff you bought from the cold section or the boxed UHT milk from the shelves?

The long life milk from the shelves lasts for eons - I have one in my fridge which has been open for over a month and it's still good. But of course, that has all manner of preservatives and stuff in there to keep it edible.

Fresh stuff however, you're going to have to bite the bullet and smell and taste the milk. I think most fresh milk has a shelf life of 1-2 weeks but really, to be sure, trust your nose.

check expiration date. If not expired ,its fine

My friend, if someone asks three times "are you really - really - going to eat/drink that?" say "No!" No matter what. Especially if they know what else and/or how long its been in your fridge...like the hammer, or four year old eggs. Especially if they are of the female persuasion.
