How do I get some good coffee?!

Question: On a recent trip to Chicago we ate at Baker’s Square. Their decaf coffee was the best I’ve ever had! I commented on it while paying the bill, and they gave me a little to take home. YUM!!!

The package was from Royal Cup which is based in Alabama. Our local Royal Cup distributor is Ronnoco. When I tried to buy the same coffee from Ronnoco, it was NOT the same blend.

How do I go about buying that exact blend from the company if they have different distributors with different blends? Do I have to buy it in Chicago? Does anyone sell it retail?

You can buy through royalcup.com. You need to buy in bulk, but you can get it.

You have one of the Nations premier coffee roasters right there in Chicago, Intelligentsia. Do yourself a favor and drop in to one of their cafes and check out their offerings that are roasted on site. Or check out Metropolis Coffee, another top rated establishment.

it might have been how the coffee was made. It may not have been the blend before. I know that coffee made in a french press tastes much different than a drip coffee maker. The coffee maker used at Bakers Square might have been a better coffee maker than at your home, or it could be quality of water. It could be a number of things. Also, blends of coffee are exactly that. Blends. Meaning that they will vary since they can't be exactly right 100% of the time.
