Bubble tea bubbles..[tapioca]?!

Question: i dont wanna offend anyone.. but whats the point of them/> ? okay fine i know it would just be called tea if there wwere no bubbles... but it dosnt realy taste like antthing..

I am a former chef and had Bubble teas back in the 1980's in Vietnam and Thailand, and it is more a texturual thing, like lotus or other seeds nuts and floating obstructions, I agree there is not real flavour to them but it is something added to the drink to make it enjoyable.
