Flavors of soda?!

Question: Why do they only make interesting flavors of soda in diet most of the time? For example the chocolate cherry Dr. Peppar. Maybe people who arent fat and don't drink diet soda would like to try a new flavor. But diet soda tastes like crap anyway.

You answered your own question. The manufacturers try to mask the flavor of aspartame, and the blandness of the sugar-free chemical water by adding flavors like vanilla cherry-banana fanna fo fanna whatever.
But I try to avoid soda all together. I'd recommend water. It quenches like no other and doesn't include the bone decalcifying effects of soft drinks.

thats exactly what i think. just looking at the commercial for diet cherry cream chocolate dr pepper or what ever they come out for pops these days make me wanna gag

Anyone been around enough to remember the Hubba Bubba Bubble Gum soda? That was some good stuff. I think it only lasted for like a year :P

I lived down in Mexico for a long time and they have apple soda down there thats all popular.

You should check out 'Big K.' I don't even know if its still around or not but they used to make all kinds of crazy flavors: Strawberry, Grape etc.. Mostly tasted like Monkey Butt Though.

Try Dr Brown's...the celery flavor is nice.

I always thought diet pop tasted like metal.

Jone's diet cream soda! its the best stuff EVER

I know I hate Diet,There is a Pepsi Jazz w/ strawberry and it would be good but it is diet. Plus I like Dr.Pepper why are they trying to make something else! Best Wishes!

It's funny that you ask this question w/ Dr. Pepper. I think if you did a taste test, Dr. Pepper is the only diet soda that tastes least like diet soda.

probably because people are complaining about soda makes people fat, so they make it in diet!
