How Much Juice is Too much?!

Question: I recently stopped drinking Diet Soda and have filled the void with water of course and Ocean Spray, cranberry, white cranberry peach, or white cranberry strawberry Juice. I take an 8oz glass and fill it 1/2 with water and then the rest with juice! I drink maybe 2-3 glasses a day! Is that really bad since there is about 33grams of sugar per serving! I think its 8oz a serving.

Replacing the caffiene in the soda is a good idea, but you will be surprised at how quickly you pick up calories with the juice mixture.

Many people use just a splash (an ounce or less) to flavor the water, and like it just fine. Try also a lemon wedge or squirt of lemon or lime juice -- basically no calories.

We have trained ourselves to 'need' our drinks to taste sweet -- whether regular, diet, low-carb, juice, whatever. Even vegetable juice needs to taste sweet (that's why V-8 adds some fruit juice!)

I too think the calories will really start adding up. Try a unsweetened cranberry juice and just add a splash. It's not sweet at all, but give the water a tangy flavor and it's supposed to be very good for you too..
