The New Gatorade...G2???!
Answers: The energy stored in food and drinks are measured in terms of calories. Athletes need energy for the game, right? so why are they drinking and promoting G2 that is LOW on calories? It doesn't make sense to me. If i'm wrong, please someone correct me!!!
The purpose of G2 is to keep the athlete hydrated off the court. There are less calories in this drink since the extra energy isn't required on a non-game day. Dwayne Wade talks about focusing on keeping hydrated on the days before a game for optimal performance on game day in an interview shown on The Score.
It's supposed to be the "off-court" hydrator. That's their angle. So it can be low on calories.

its just another product for gatorade to sell, more products more revenues. They could have made this for the faint at heart people who don't wanna gain much weight...hope you don't get confuse again...call gatorade to get their opinion, you might sleep better if you contact them.
I was at my Doctor's Office the other day and I am Diabetic and they told me there that the best thing that I could drink would be this new Gatorade G2.......So, I went and purchased 2 packages of it and took it home, not thinking anything about it and not looking at the ingredients............
I sit down in front of the TV and I started to drink it........I started to immediately feel funny and I thought oh no!!!! I better check the Ingredients to make sure that it doesn't contain added Potassium.........and it sure does!!!!! I can NOT have any form or type of added Potassium as I am on medication that has an Allergic Reaction to Potassium and it could also be Fatal to me........
So, I immediately flushed my system will an unbelievable amount of water and of course I always seem to want to goto sleep when something like this happens and I kept awake and in a few hours was ok, once again........
So, Check Your Labels...........It is a Great Product for Rehydration!!!!
