Problems with my coffee maker...?!
Answers: I was away for two weeks, came back home and when I went to make a pot of coffee, I put water into the coffee maker (also a filter with ground coffee).. turned it on and nothing. Has my coffee maker died, or maybe it needs to be cleaned?
Run some vinegar through it (turn it on like you are making coffee). This will clear it out. After run water with no coffee through it a few times. This will alleviate your problem.
Not knowing what type you use, I can't offer much specific help.
If you have a drip-style, vinegar should remove mineral buildup.
If you have a Bunn-style and you left it plugged in, your reserve water may have boiled off [only applies to large office or restaurant instant-drip type pots]
If you have an espresso machine, the pump may be dead or clogged.
If you use a presspot, you would never have a problem anyway.
If you use a percolator, it could be mineral buildup, but it isn't worth fixing, get something better.
Don't listen to BUZZD the guy works at a coffee shop making 5 bucks an hr. He cant help it he has downsyndrome.
yes it sounds like your coffee maker died. I recommend getting a melitta cone and filters. you can find them in the coffee aisle at the supermarket. they are much cheaper than a new coffee maker, take up less room and make a better cup of coffee. just boil water on the stove and pour over the grinds.
i know if my clock on my coffee maker is flashing and not set it will not brew....like if the power went out it make my clock flash and i have to set it to a time or it won't brew...
