This is a very big topic, and researchers are still studying the effects of these drinks on teens. In my opinion, they are not very healthy for teens like you and me, BUT....other drinks such as Coca Cola, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and even the juices that are store bought have TONS of sugar.

The sugar is NOT the problem in energy drinks. There are sugar free energy drinks, and sodas and pops have lots more sugar than energy drinks. The main problems of energy drinks are the other ingredients that are unknown by the general public. Within 5-20 years, everyone will know the effects of these ingredients.

i have to agree with your mom. The energy drinks are only good for a short time. They give you a boost of energy and then the sugar kicks in and you fall FAST from the rush. I wouldn't recommend them for anyone. Why do you need to drink it?

no they have lots of cafine which can effect ur stomach later on in life.

I personally believe that energy drinks should be given to KIDS under 18. THis is because at this age, your bodies are still developing. The thing is, ENERGY DRINKS are chock full of caffiene. Caffiene is really bad because it basically kills all the VITAMIN C cells, which means, you won't be able to be protected against all of the diseases this world has. As well, caffiene also deteriorates your bones. It is just as bad as soda as well. It is your decision however, and at the age of 18, you can do whatever you want!!! If you do start to have them, have them sparingly, and I'm talking about every two weeks. But, there's nothing wrong with water!!! I always have that when I'm feeling low, and I love it!!! Good luck with your problem!!!

They are bad for everyone! That stuff is not real food. It will damage your stomach if you drink it too often. Try ginsing tea if you need energy-its natural and will turn your fat into energy. Why do you need energy drinks anyway? At 15 you should have plenty of energy.

Energy drinks are worse than soda. A can of an energy drink is filled with much more sugar than a can of soda. If you drink a few a day, you will see your weight increase drastically.
Also, if you drink enough of them, you won't see any increase in your energy as you will have built up a tolerance to them.

They are bad for you, but honestly, I don't see any reason to not letting you have them now and then letting you have them at 18.

No. But alot of 5th graders on my bus chew those energy drink gum. And they are all stupid

wel i do know that caffeine drinks are extremely unuseful it doesnt even get you hyper ive only had a sip of one but from knowledge and sight i know that when you drink it it wont boost you it just puts all your energy into a shorter time and then you just crash so i prefer just drinks powerade not monsters or redbull i also know that there bad for u because your 15 you dont need energy drinks your pretty much just over dramatizing it but i do know alot of people that drink them so thats your decision. and yes that is alot better than someother stuff you could be doing

nope

It's fine.
