I want make 100 cups of coffee. How much ground and unground coffee bean will it take?!

Question: Making it for a large get together for 400 people.

Answers: Making it for a large get together for 400 people.

Figure 3 pounds of ground coffee for each 100 people.

700 GRAMS.

The Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) recommends 2.5 to 4 ounces of ground coffee to 1/2 gallon of water (64oz).

So, if 400 people each drink 2 cups of coffee (8 oz cups), you will need 3200 oz of liquid coffee. At 3 oz of grounds per 64 ounces of water that makes 150 ounces or 9.375 pounds of ground coffee.

Naturally, more or less ground coffee depending upon your taste for strength, coffee grind, and coffee maker.

enjoy

Wow... that's ALOT of coffee... (Just had to point that out) btw, Coffee's the best.
