To all you bottled water drinkers out there...?!
You should be aware that by drinking it, you're supporting the removal of water by those who can afford to do it and make a profit off of it, and this is contributing to widespread water shortage worldwide for thousands (probably a large underestimate) of people. They're resorting to cutting their water use drastically in order to survive, so that we can have our supposedly special water. Lucky us. Sucks for them.
Also, these bottles are hard for our mother, Earth, to decompose...there's an outrageous number of plastic being produced and scattered about carelessly on our beautiful planet as we drink the water that belongs elsewhere.
Leading me to the last argument (for now) for not buying bottled water. It's not in our community; we are in our community. We should be drinking the water that is home to us; that's why it's here, and that's why WE're here.
And now, I also think that regular tap water (and undistilled water) is not clean. TO BE CONT.
Answers: Why do you drink it?

Britta Babee - reuse yir bottle.
Least that's what i do.
I guess I drink it because I am on the go so often. I know all the arguments for and against. This is not groundbreaking info you just disclosed to us.
Cant wait for the second installment...
Carisa, I totally agree with you. I do not buy it myself, but know of many that do. The best part of it is, it has been proven that it is just tap water any way. Wasn't it Aquafena that was making tons of money?! I just drink my tap water. I refuse to go the fair or whatever event and pay $5.00/$6.00 for a bottle of water. I'll go thirsty first!
I drink it because it tastes good...and plus they recycle the bottles and create a new "earth friendly" bottles now...and plus like the other lady said...I'm always on the go so it is easy to grab bottled waters...
You omitted the cost.
$8.00 + per gallon.
Awwwwkkkkk!
I only buy it if we are on the road and me or the kids are thirsty. I don't buy it at home. We have a large water cooler and I go into town to a place to get it filled with distilled water from the area where I live so it's not being taken from other places. Our tap water is from a well (no yucky city water) but it's full of minerals so it has a slightly soft taste I don't like. But I do live in a country that has tons of fresh water available...and there are a few bottling companies in British Columbia I believe that sell bottled water. I think the bottled water thing is overkill, people think it's always better than tap...that is false. I saw a show on tv that showed that not all expensive bottled waters are as good as they say and they proved it too.
I live in Mexico and we all drink bottled water. Tap water is treated with chlorine and it has lots of salt in the water table. It kills tender green life.I commend you on your eco-spirit.
Nationwide studies have shown that tap water is indeed, just as safe and clean, as bottled water. The argument you should be bringing up, is that bottled water causes a lot of pollution because it is transported either by plane, truck or train which all contribute greatly to air pollution, moreover the mere fact that the container is plastic means more pollution from incineration to recycling. For some reason, people get on supposed health kicks without studying the facts and end up on the outside fringes of reality.
As an avid water drinker....I use my Brita water filter at home and bring my own cold drinking water with me in my travel coffee mug... I am grateful that there is bottled water available for times when you need it...But I do agree that it should be about being kind to our Earth and not about human convienience
Because it's quite handy, let alone that it's always available for sale almost everywhere. Ironic as it may seem but I guess the company that produces Evian has a knack of reversing down cash flow through the expense of unsuspecting customers. Evian when reversed Naive.
i don't drink it hun.
Yes-- bottled water is expensive--- I use a purifier---and there are purified water stations with 25 cents a gallon water.
Tap water is impure --- I don't drink it---it contains hard particles that are not good to put into your body. Have you ever heard of gall stones ?
Look at your faucets and water pipes --- do you want that stuff inside of you and your children?
As for the litter problem-- that's a shame-- agreed !
I don't like the trash left behind by Inconsiderate Smokers and
Beer Drinkers. I drink some beer--- don't smoke.
I drink Only purified water and recommend you do the same.
Most of what you said is BS and it's none of your business what I drink.
