To all you bottled water drinkers out there...(pt. 2)?!

Question: ...got any fresh solutions to the controversy?

CONT.
(And now, I also think that regular tap water (and undistilled water) is not clean.) It contains flouride, according to many sources. That's what they use in large amounts to control people's minds in concentration camps, according to many sources.
And bits of toilet paper have been found in the water, supposedly.

So I have a personal controversy with this one. I dunno whether I want to drink distilled water or tap water.

I am probably going to get a filter for my faucet. (And a filter for my shower head since the chlorine in tap water causes dandruff and a plethora of other dysfunctions.) Then I'll buy a large, large pot fer boilin'. Then I'm gonna save the rest of my water bottles I have (ugh, yes, I've been a bottled water User for years) which are gallon-sized, until I can finagle two or three big class containers suitable for my purpose (since that way plastic won't dribble into my water and body). BOIL tap. Voila.

Lots of topics here. Dirty, fluoride, chlorine, boiling, distilled, etc.

Here a few comments in no particular order: MOST bottled water is tap water, unless it says spring water. Boiling water won't do you much good, as it only kills bacteria, which is present, but not harmful. Clean all bottles that you use (either glass or plastic) regularly with soap & hot water - re-using containers is the biggest danger here because they are perfect for bacteria to grow. DO NOT drink (true) destilled water - you can die from it. There are no electrolytes in destilled water and it should only be used for ironing or similar.

I, too, belive that your best bet is to have a filter on your faucet. That should filter out possible heavy metals that are in the pipes of older homes and also give you peace of mind with chlorine & fluoride.

We use a water filter.

I drink trap water. It contains iron which is actually quite good for you. Really, it dosn't make a difference. Tap water is usually just fine unless you live in Egypt! haha! Bottled water is very expensive and if you look at the sourcing carefully many brands are actually just mildy filtered tap water.
good luck!

in fridge water filters are inexpensive and usually the best option. Just fill it up with tap water.

I drink boiled and cooled tap water and have a filter, but I'm going to get a better one. I have a re-usable plastic bottle to carry my water in (like those things you insert into the water bottle holder on bikes).

Don't forget to mention this too - bottled water standards are LOWER than standards for tap water. That's right, the law is tougher on tap water and the standard of cleanliness and pureness.

Also know this: a lot of public tap water has fluoride in it too.
http://www.ewg.org/reports/cafluoride

"As of 2002, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) statistics show that almost 66% of the U.S. population receives fluoridated water through the taps in their homes. Some communities have naturally occurring fluoride in their water; others add it at water-processing plants."

That sounds like a lot of work and time spent on fixing up a glass of water! I'll stick to my filtered water from my fridge thank you very much.

Guess everyone had just given all the right suggestions, and I agree on boiling. Thanks for all the info. :D ...have to think twice this time around.

i drank distilled water once for 6 months then win i stopped my bodee din't like it and i got sik
--- water filters are the coolest i thinx.
